Common Questions

What's included in the Free plan?

The Free plan includes:

  • 3 transcriptions per day (resets at midnight UTC)
  • Up to 500MB file size
  • Up to 30 minutes per file
  • 3 YouTube imports per day
  • All AI features (chat, summaries, insights)
  • Speaker identification and translation
  • Team workspaces and collaboration
  • All download formats (TXT, SRT, VTT, JSON)

What's included in the Pro plan?

Pro plan ($9.99/month) removes all Free plan limits:

  • Unlimited transcriptions - no daily limit
  • 2GB file size - 4x larger than Free
  • Unlimited duration - transcribe files of any length
  • Unlimited YouTube imports - import as many as you need
  • Priority support - faster response times
  • All Free plan features included

When do daily limits reset?

Daily limits for Free accounts work on a rolling 24-hour window. This means the limit resets 24 hours after your first transcription, not at a specific time of day.

For example, if you use your 3 transcriptions at 2 PM on Monday, you'll be able to transcribe again after 2 PM on Tuesday (24 hours later).

Failed uploads don't count toward your daily limit. Only successfully completed transcriptions are counted.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time:

  1. Log in to app.videotobe.com
  2. Go to Settings → Billing
  3. Click "Manage Subscription"
  4. Click "Cancel Subscription"

Your Pro access continues until the end of your billing period. After that, you'll be downgraded to the Free plan automatically.

What happens when I downgrade to Free?

When you cancel your Pro subscription or get downgraded:

  • Your existing content is NOT deleted - all transcripts remain accessible
  • You can still view, download, and chat with all existing transcripts
  • New uploads are subject to Free plan limits (3/day, 500MB, 30 minutes)
  • YouTube imports limited to 3/day
  • Files larger than 500MB or longer than 30 minutes cannot be uploaded

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days of your subscription, contact support for a full refund.

After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges.

Can I upgrade from Free to Pro mid-month?

Yes! When you upgrade, you'll be charged immediately and your Pro benefits activate instantly. Your billing cycle starts on the day you upgrade.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe:

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. VideoToBe uses Stripe for payment processing. We never store your credit card information on our servers. All payment data is encrypted and handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of businesses.

Can I get a discount for annual billing?

Annual billing is not currently available, but we're considering it for the future. Subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when annual plans launch.

Do you offer team or enterprise plans?

Currently, we only offer individual Free and Pro plans.

Teams can use workspace collaboration features where each member has their own account and subscription.

What happens if my payment fails?

If your payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Your account enters a grace period with "past_due" status
  3. You have a few days to update your payment method
  4. If not updated, your subscription will be canceled and you'll be downgraded to Free

Update your payment method in Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription.

Can I use VideoToBe for commercial purposes?

Yes! Both Free and Pro plans allow commercial use. You can:

  • Transcribe client meetings and interviews
  • Create transcripts for commercial videos and podcasts
  • Use transcripts in business presentations and reports
  • Share transcripts with clients and team members
